Dinkelsbuhl

Dinkelsbuhl is a medieval walled city surrounded by a moat and was largely unscathed during the WW’s.

Got up this morning in no particular hurry as we had all day to see the town. We headed up our street and towards the walls and gates. Meandered inside and outside of the town going out one gate then following a path into another gate. Though each gate has a name, we weren’t able to remember all of their names. When our feet tired, we headed back to the room to work on this blog.

Sunday, October 20th

Sunday morning we had our first hotel hot breakfast. Good way to start the day. Since we had such a primo parking spot and being it’s Sunday and parking is still free we checked out, loaded the car and let it sit while we further explored Dinkelsbuhl. It was quite nippy and not too many people out and about yet which made for better pictures. What an interesting place. Spent several hours and took dozens of photos. We explored most of the walls from both inside and outside the city. Then we went back to the primo parked car and headed for Rothenburg.

The pictures are not in any particular order, however, the first group is mainly walls, towers and gates.

The second group of photos is mainly street views, buildings and miscellaneous scenes.
